GreenLeaf Run
The GreenLeaf Run (formerly the Lobstercrawl Run), a 5 and 10K race, is our largest fundraiser of the year. The Event takes place the last Saturday in June in Carbondale, Colorado. This year, the run will be on Saturday, June 26th, 2010. The race begins and ends at the Carbondale Recreation Center, a LEED Platinum Certified Building. The course begins by running through the quaint town of Carbondale. Once through town, the course picks up on the scenic Rio Grande Trail.
There are many changes to the Event, not just the name. Runners will be asked to wear something, green, recycled or reused to help promote our Green Schools Initiative. In addition, following the race, join us for an organic pancake breakfast, local farmers’ market and Green Days Educational booths.
